Review
Recently, I purchased two of the new Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butters to see what all the rave was about. There are 20 different shades to choose from; I picked up the colors Strawberry Shortcake and Gumdrop to start. Strawberry Shortcake is a very pretty bubble gum pink color, while Gumdrop is a very pale lilac color. Both butters felt very smooth on my lips. They were also surprisingly pigmented for a lip butter, which I thought would be a little more sheer. They have a nice finish, as they have a slight glossy sheen to them. Most people would be a little hesitant to try the Gumdrop shade, as it is purple, but it is sheer enough that you can have a slight amount of color on your lips or build the color up to have a more dramatic look. These are perfect for me as a student because they are easy to apply, fun but understated and great for everyday wear. The come in a ton of shades so you can easily find a color to suit you. These are awesome for spring because they come in some pastel shades which are a huge trend for the springtime! I also LOVE the packaging on these! They are in a silver tube with a textured case that resembles the color inside and I think that they are super cute! I really would like to pick up a few more shades in different colors. At my local drug stores, there are always sales for Revlon like buy one, get one half off. The lip butters regularly retail for about $6.50 but to save more, look for sales. Overall, I am LOVING these new lip products from Revlon and hope to get some more soon!
